About Tory Halpin

Hi, I'm Tory Halpin.

I am the mom of two toddlers, and I freaking love it! I've loved kids my whole life, and always dreamed of being a mom.

I've worked at summer camps (in charge of 200 seven-year-olds), nannied for families during my university summers, worked at daycares, and babysat during nearly all my free time.

I did my four-year undergrad degree in Child and Youth Studies, and then went to Teacher's College for Primary/Junior Division. I worked at an amazing private school for a year before deciding that while I loved  children's social/ emotional growth and helping to foster that... I wasn't as in love with actually teaching. 
So I pivoted and moved into marketing and did publicity at a major film distribution company (it was really fun - turns out some celebrities need the same techniques as toddlers haha), and then moved into Brand Manager at a restaurant chain in Toronto where I was for 5 years and did everything from general marketing, to social media, and event planning.

Though I loved my job, I always had a deep love for children and a passion for child development. 

I never thought my two life paths would merge as seamlessly as they did - I was able to take all my social media/marketing knowledge and experience and connect it with my excitement for all things kids... and here we are!

It's like it was meant to be :)
